The Black Magician Trilogy is an amazing trilogy! Even though Akkarin dying was upsetting it shows the talant of Trudi that she can make someone feel that emotion!! I think the relationship between Tayend and Dannyl is ingenious and the books kept me gripped throughout. They deserve more publicity! ...

I read the Age of the Five series first, and highly recommend them to anyone thinking about this series aswell. The Black Magician trilogy is a fantastic introduction to an excellent writer, and also to the unique style of her 'multi-perspective' novels. Based around an exceptionally detailed world ...

As said above, the story flows very well. However, a more descriptive style would have added to the story and the complexity of the characters.

A very detailed and elaborated walk through of the Thief road and how it connects to the center of the city is very amazing. The duel between Sonea and Regin is also wonderful and I also like the romance between Akkarin and Sonea, Cery and Savara and between Tayend and Dannyl. It is not descriptive ...

I loved everything about The Black Magicians Trilogy, when Sonea hiding I was scared, when she began trusting Rothen I felt like I was trusting him to and when she fell in love with Akkarin I felt butterflys in my stomach every time I read his name. This trilogy got me so caught up in all the emotio ...
