    i have had my Hitachi 42PD9700 tv for more than 2 years and have had no problems at all. sky hd really comes alive on this tv.the hitachi 42PD9700 is a must buy at the price.

    The Hitachi 42PD9700 looks fantastic and well built. Picture quality in HD mode is outstanding. Good value because you get a 2k set for just over £800. Give it a good SD signal and the results can be very good. The DVD players work a treat, and SD Sky still looks better than a normal tube TV. ...

    Hitachi 42PD9700 is great value, great looks and superb picture - which hits outstanding with good HD. Standard SD Sky broadcasts are fine too, but give it a poor SD signal and YIKES!

    The Hitachi 42PD9700 plasma TV looks good, performs well, and at the moment it can be bought for less than £1000. This must be the buy of the year!
