Gulf Air is the worst airline ever experienced. Flights from London to Bahrain to Bangkok, took 36 hours when it was supposed to take 20 odd. Multiple delays including;
Emergency landing at Istanbul required, long delays.
Waiting trapped inside a glass shuttle bus on tarmac in mid-day Bahrain heat ...

We flew from Heathrow to Dubai via Bahrain with Gulf Air. Poor service both ways, 2 hours to get a drink, food cold when it arrived. Ran out of the options, only had dried up lanb left. Not enough staff on board. Forgot to load the wine on the return journey, then all the video systems packed up. ...

Cabin Appearance: Clean & Presentable.
Service at Departure Airport: Efficient and Satisfactory.
Seats: Regular economy seats with but better than Qatar Airways or Emirates.

Gulf Air are competitive and offer lowest prices. But, poor service, bad attitude of ground staff in Bahrain, condition of planes. Would not recommend anyone to fly this airline. The physical conditions of the planes are not comforting. Staff attitude is really distressing, unwilling to help.

This was our first flight with Gulf Air and we were presently surprised. I didn't expect anything like Emirates' standards, given the exceptionally low price of the fare but to be honest, they weren't a million miles off and probably better value for what you actually pay.
