    I picked up a VAX V-044 unit over 3 years ago for only £29.99 new. Very light, well built & sucks so hard it can stick to your carpet which is great for removing my boxer dogs hairs I had a Dyson before this & in comparison it was poorly built, flimsy, always blocking up/ breaking down crap. ...

    Found the VAX Appliances V-044 difficult to reassemble after emptying. It is also very hard to push over thick carpet, even on the highest setting. Mine had to be sent back to the manufacturers after two weeks as it was over-heating and making a horrible noise. Came back within a week but would rath ...

    Excellent value vacuum cleaner, and better than most upright cleaners.

    Rarely use my VAX Appliances V-044 as I can't get it together again when filter needs clearing. Flex also overheats sometimes. Has been overall a waste of money.
