I've Maglite AA - 16 years without any problems. 2D and solitaire are also solid products. Bought 2AA Led 2 months and soon noticed that it does not work with rechargeable batteries! while the industry is generally moving towards more sustainable and "green", the Maglite seems to move elsewhere...

I have had many mini may lights...it seems that when one fails, I find my "extras" and piece together a good one. I don't know where all these circuit boards, transformers and fancy swithches are but mine are simply a straight circuit and if all the physical connections are being made, it works. I ...

Thanks to reviewers below - The best advice I saw: It's not the switch! Change the batteries!

Dead batteries don't "look" the same with LED's as they do with plain old flashlights. Once your batteries get drained pretty low, they might have just barely enough voltage to get the LED to light - and ...

There are a few things that some of you complaining about the "switch" should consider. First, the FAQ on www.maglite.com for the Mini Maglite LED Flashlight 2-Cell AA addresses most of these concerns. Also, you may not be aware that the light has four modes; 1) on, 2) half power, 3) flash, and 4 ...

the Maglite Mini Maglite LED 2 AA 3 Watt has an unreliable switch which cannot be accessed to fix. Hence alway fiddling with the bulb holder to get it to turn on eventually. Once on it usually stays on.
Not the guaranttee you think it is.

Wow, this Mini Maglite LED 2 AA 3 Watt is taking a beating here. I've had (2) identical silver ones, the original 2-mode (on-off) models for almost 2 years and they both perform flawlessly. I got them for a discounted price of around 20 bucks at the time which isn't cheap, but the price is justifi ...

I just fixed mine!Yes the design of the Maglite Mini Maglite LED 2 AA 3 Watt switch on this light is poor. I really like it's size and the amount of light it puts out. So, I would constantly torture myself by trying to use it with the flickering and twisting. Finally, I resigned to the fact that ...

I dont know what lights these other folks reviewed but the
Maglite Mini Maglite LED 2 AA 3 Watt is superb.
The mini LED has NO switch. It is very long lasting, durable , has a very powerful beam and takes a ton of abuse. I use it for geocaching and it is always in my pack. My comments are for ...

I purchased a Maglite Mini Maglite LED 2 AA 3 Watt because I thought that Maglite was a quality brand. Unfortunately, my experience with a bad "switch" doesn't seem uncommon at all. I have to twist it back and forth, change angles, pull up, and pull down.. .. just to get it to produce light for a ...
