- when compared to the gameboy advanced (basically a portable snes), it actually uses the same cartridges as the genesis, as opposed to snes ports. the gba only has 2 face buttons thus limiting gameplay in snes ports.
- the nomad plays all genesis games

First, it is Sega then its design, its screen, its capabilities... perfect!
Grab it if you can, if you saw one yesterday and missed it, that was your last chance to own one. Then, you are doomed. Without this, you are not a serious Sega collector.

The Sega Nomad is probably the best handheld ever released. Certainly the most powerful for a long time.
It plays all Genesis games, minus a few REALLY early ones, and ones than require a special controller in the Player 1 port.
Yea, it has terrible battery life, but hey, that's the price you pay ...

Sega Nomad is AWESOME! I love playing golden axe hanheld. Vectorman is awesome also. they are cool on the genesis, but on the nomad it's awesome!
The only problem is, you have to order it on eBay because its no longer avalible.

The Sega Nomad was and is still a very good hand held game system. Nintendo might of just caught up with the G.B.A. but its more than 10 years after the Nomad was out.
