Stephen E ambrose's D-day is extremely bias towards the americans. He is saying that the the americans had better weaponry than the germans this is not true. I did not enjoy Stephen E. Ambrose, D-Day. By searching the net, you will find what actually happened on the landing craft from the only living survivor! He's angry, so am I wasting valuable time and money.

There were lot of personal accounts and quotes such as at the end of D-Day Ambrose closed with an Eisenhower quote.

I half expected Stephen E. Ambrose's version of the story of D-Day to be full of American jingoism. True, large sections are devoted to the USA build-up in the UK, and the Omaha and Utah landings. There are endless recollections from veterans who came "over here". I personally read with great affect ...
