I think the Tag Heuer Formula 1 Chronotimer is good overall
if you score a good one 2nd hand

This watch is a pain. I only paid 600$ but still it is very hard to set with way too much mumbojumbo to it. Spend a few more dollars and buy something better. Feels cheap, I have had it for two years.

A Tag Heuer was my first diving watch and it has lasted 15 years without any problems and only 2 battery replacements. I still wear it. It doesn't even have a scratch on the original sapphire crystal. I have worn it all over the world in oceans, lakes, rivers, motorcycling, camping, at weddings, ...
