They gave a good rate of interest on the product I took out and offered me the chance to increase my investment at the good rate, even though I was late getting the money to them.
If they are merging with Nationwide I wonder if the new business will still be able to offer the same excellent interest ...

Ok for the basics (bonds, savings etc), but maybe not the best deal for other services. If the counter service speeds were better, this would be worthwhile in some instances, as the old-fashioned "personal" touches are still there.
