Best to get a hotel day park pass like we did. You see so much more and your are much less stressed (ie no driving). We stayed in Alton Towers Hotel which is frankly brilliant!

Alton Towers is the most fun day out I have ever had. I went with 8 mates and it was just incredible. Be warned that my mate is quite Fat and couldn't ride on anything but Nemesis and Oblivion, so if you like Pork Pies, don't plan on going on anything.

I went for my 12 year olds birthday and we were there from 1030 till 530 and got on 4 rides, disgraceful. Rita and oblivion were both closed so not worth money, think we should have been told before entering the park. Was waste of time and money.

Alton Towers, in general, was fantastic! It is a theme park that is suitable for every age group!! It is also great that there is so many big, scary and thrilling rides at the one theme park!!
Alton Towers is a great theme park and i would definitely recommend it to you!!

Alton Towers theme park have a £4 charge for the car park which you have to buy a token from a machine to get out.
Why the charge when a family will have spent £150 plus during the day. Just another case of the rip off's that we the English public have to put up with. Monday 23rd June ...

It's good if you are in a thrilled mood and can get the cable carts to each part of the park but if you want to feel relaxed you can go to the centre of the park were the great gardens are and pretty waterfalls. I went to Alton towers around the first week in November for their adrenaline week! Even though only the high speed rides were open it was fantastic, nemisis, oblivion, rita and air were all opened and so were many others! the longest i had to wait in the queue was 2minutes! We went yesterday with out buy one get one free vouchers from Tesco. It is still quite expensive. It is hard to get to Alton Towers without a car and they have a cleverly named "Parking Token", which basically means you have to pay an extra £4 to park, although this is not stated on their web ...
