The Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V is an awful car, bought it on a saturday, in the garage on the monday, off the road for 3 weeks whilst dealer tried to fix fuel fault, got the car back, back in dealer garage 3 days later with same fault, told them to keep it and give me a refund. Got the refund and never w ...

This citreon c5 car has given me a lot of pleasure. It is incredibly light on fuel and has the most wonderful suspension. It has all the features of a Merc or BMW at a fraction of the price. If PSA Peugeot/Citroen could get their act together they would become more popular here in South Africa.
    I am ...

This is my second Citroen C5 and I am still very much convinced that it is one of the best cars on the market.
The 1.6 Diesel engine is a magnificent power source, the car doesn't need a bigger engine although the 2.0 and the 2.2 Diesel engines are available.
It is a nice car, super nice suspensio ...

Useless electronics, no help from Citroen who seem to have washed thier hands of the C5. Dodgy trim, door pockets falling out, fabric parting from the door cards. Dealers who also do not know what the faults need to fix them.
Not recommended, unless you enjoy trips to the garage, paying for parts th ...

Car is fantastic, never had a problem. Owned it now for almost 3 years and its never let me down except once. That was the de-mister stopped working and the part was £40 to change. I drive 30,000 miles a year and this car is esaily the best I have ever owned. Its reliable great on fuel econom ...

Fuel tank expanded and snapped locking ring and smashed fuel pump to bits.
Cost to replace this lot is frightening £959. Mis-fires over 4000 rpm been into Citroen 14 times within the last 6 months with faults with the electrics, brakes, steering the car is only 6 years old and got 36000 on th ...

When I was a lad, which is a while ago, I remember seeing a great big, daft Citroen estate parked up with the back end on bricks and most of the running gear gone. My Dad told me never to buy a Citroen as the suspension is a right nightmare when it goes wrong and I held this belief for a long, long ...

This is the best car I have ever owned. I have driven 40,000 miles in just over a year and once serviced this car will never let you down. It is half the price of an Avensis with twice the comfort and equal reliability. Don't be misled by the badge. xtreme comfort, Fuel efficiency, Looks, Reliabilit ...

I sold my 2004 BMW 530D series touring for a series 2, 1.6HDi C5 Estate. Yup , that's right! And so far it's been great. Less rattles and fewer weird faults etc. It's not the focused sports estate that the BMW was, and it's not as fast, but you would NEVER guess it's a 1.6 diesel. I do around 35,000 ...

The Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V is well put together and extremely comfortable. Shunned by reviewers, it sheds its money quicker than a footballer in a casino. However, for the canny second hand buyer after an upmarket car, there's little to touch it. The best bit is that there are surprisingly few on Bri ...
