I just bought one of these Ryobi shredders. The first time I used it, it did pass a lot of material through with little more than a chip in the side every 2 cm or so. I adjusted the blade by turning the allen key slowly until I heard the blade very lightly 'skim' the plate and then tried it again. P ...

The Ryobi RSH-2455 got rid of a 40 ft tree in 2 hours!

Initially after trying this Ryobi RSH-2455 shredder for the first time I was appalled...I thought it was useless. Branches just seemed to come through it unscathed.
However the secret appears to be in adjusting the blade. After adjusting it quite a few times it worked a treat. I managed to shred 3 ...

Ryobi RSH-2455 is about as good at shredding as a piece of cheese. It doesn't shred! Not one jot.

With the Ryobi RSH-2455 you have to crank up the cutter plate while the machine is shredding thick branches to get the required shred. The manual does not say this but their technical dept does. Apart from initial set up problems its a good piece of kit.

This Ryobi RSH-2455 'shredder' is beyond useless. I followed the set up instructions to the letter and it point blank refuses to shred. Complete and utter waste of my money. It is now on it's way back to the company from where I purchased it.

I agree with all the negative comments on this Ryobi RSH-2455. It just puts notches into the wood and squeezes it a bit. It just bruises the leaves.
We are SO disappointed with this machine

The Ryobi RSH2455 garden shredder cannot chip or shred. Totally concur with all previous comments made. End up with a sausage which has numerous notches in it. Adjusted balde as per instructions but to no avail. Should have read the comments in the review centre first ! Will now go and buy a Bosch i ...

The Ryobi RSH-2455 Garden Shredder is a good powerful crusher. It's not a masher or a moulcher at all. In assessing 40mm branch tolerance, one has to consider side branches which are capable ,as in my case, to deform hopper acting as a wedge. As a crusher it will produce good shreds for green bean. ...

The design is based on an off-centre rotating wheel with cutting blades that are meant to grab the wood, squeeze it against a plate, thus nipping the stem off into fairly long chips. This is a "one-pass" operation, and since it doesn't work, the stems just get ejected with little notches in them. De ...
