Comparatively light weight, nice balance, accurate. Ideal for converting to gas-ram, which is easy to do and suits it very well (and since the rifle is not too expensive to begin with can be afforded).

I never wanted a rifle that many people have, but I'll never regret buying this Gamo Hunter 440. This one is as acurate as my old match rifle (Gamo MC Contest) but much more powerful which is better if you adjust your sights / scope for a short distance. I don't have to change anything in my scope i ...

I am looking for a new air rifle and was handed a Gamo Hunter 440, without scope. I went to the shooting range to a fire a few shots and found that the standard sights were incredibly accurate and that the gun was incredibly light. I easily bullseyed the close targets and resorted to the full length ...

Just bought a Gamo hunter 440. Love it. Great range of ammo for them these days..Plenty of power. Only complaint is the sloppy trigger. Lot of slack for a two stage trigger..

Last Fall I took advantage of a sale through Cabela's, and bought a refurbished Gamo Hunter 440 package which included a 4x32 scope and mounts. The package cost all of $110 US, including shipping. Pretty good, all in all.

The Gamo Hunter 440 is a .177 calibre, break-barrel pellet rifle with a spr ...

Exellent value for money. It is a well weighted air rifle with a good power to weight ratio. Not as accurate as some others but the most accurate in its price range.
