    Sun Microsystems OpenOffice is an EXCELLENT alternative to admirable Office package. I expected a kludge, work around - reverse engineered muck of below par programing. What it is, is a dellightful surprise. Well done, programed by sharp minds, and most importantly, it gets the job done.

    Open Office has word processing (Writer), spreadsheet (Calc), presentation (Impress), Drawing (Draw) and Database (Base) software all in a single package.
