The Nissan Navara engine let go at 45000 miles. After investigation it appears to be a fault with the timing chain & gear on this model. At a cost of over £3000 + fitting Nissan should consider a recall as my vehicle is 9 Months out of warranty!!!!

My vehicle is a month old, has done just over 1,000 miles, and it has blown the CPU. On Tuesday the 9th of January 2007, I was told the parts would take 7 - 8 days. That has now been and gone. I have been talking to Nissan customer services over the last week. Unfortunately, you can never speak to t ...

When I bought my Navara I'd done a lot of research before buying it, it was a new model so none had done many miles and I had not read any bad reports.
I still feel the Navara is the best looking pickup and the best handling.
I was very pleased with the Navara but after the turbo going at 30,000 a ...

I have a 22-month old Nissan Navara Double Cab which I bought from a main dealer from new. I have covered 68,000 miles in 22 months in this car, mainly light-duty motorway miles. It has been main-dealer maintained and yet at 68,000 miles the engine is in pieces due to a con-rod failing and punching ...

I must have been lucky! My engine blew at 84,000 miles. Car lying in Penrith I live on the Isle of Lewis. Getting a second hand engine is costly and difficult, only to have it blow up again, guaranteed. When it does, it's a sure bet Nissan should be ashamed and help us here. If anyone has a similar ...

If you're reading this thinking of buying a Navara, you're one of the lucky ones. Steer well clear.

After running the car for 3 years problem free (except for the usual 30,000 mile clutch replacement). My engine has blown a con rod straight through the block! A freak event? After some research it appears not. This is fast becoming a very familiar story with these engines. Watch soon for a BBC Watc ...

After 4 months and 4500 miles the half shaft on my Nissan Navara needed replacing. Have now been waiting 10 weeks for the parts and still dont know when I will get the car back! and Nissan customer care do not appear interested. Have lost all confidence in Nissan and their products.

An excellent vehicle let down by a "couldn't care less attitude" of the dealer when things go wrong. I have a 2006 dci Trek with less than 7,000 miles on the clock and the clutch has gone. The vehicle does not have a hard life it is not used for towing or off road, but it is used to carry stock fo ...
