Thanks for all the recommendations on th is site. I used this product X-Tex whihc I found to be a life saver.

I bought it from Toolstation, and removed all the artex from my front room, which has over the years driven me mad as it scagged the kids clothes and looked awful.

    I agree it is a little ...

I would highly recommend x tex I'm not a great diyer but this was so easy to use. After having a pretty high quote by a professional to remove artex, I heard about x tex online and thought I'd give it a go. It is so simple and easy to use. I didn't need to leave it on overnight only for an hour. ...

I'm used to paint stripper being nasty dangerous stuff but not X-tex. I spilt it on the floor and on my hands but no ill effects on either. And no nasty fumes. The testured paint was completely stabilised so no asbestos flakes either. Only down side was a sticky mess where the artex had been cover ...

Our Artex was deeply swirled and had several coats of paint over it.
You need to break the surface of the paint with coarse sanding. It may then take two to three coats ofEco Solutions X-Tex Textured Coatings Remover to get back to bare plaster. You need pallet grade stretch wrap (from Staples), a l ...

We used Eco Solutions X-Tex coatings remover on our living room which was covered floor to ceiling in nasty swirling artex.

We bought a 15 litre tub and as it was painted over with emulsion we covered it with plastic film and left overnight (as instructed by the very helpful lady on the technical h ...

Eco Solutions X-Tex Textured Coatings Remover was poor, I tried numerous coats on a small area it hardly took the surface of. Very expensive for a poor product

Due to the expense of Eco Solutions X-Tex Textured Coatings Remover I only bought it after careful consideration, and after having read the excellent reviews on this web site. Unfortunately it just didn't do what it was supposed to do.
Our lounge ceiling has a deep artex grooved fan pattern, and is ...

Brilliant - I used Eco Solutions X-Tex Textured Coatings Remover on the Artex on my bathroom along with a Harris large scraper and the whole lot just 'sliced' off. I did try it with other scrapers and found it a lot harder but the blade (like a huge stanley knife blade) made it incredibly easy. I ...

There must be different grades of Artex as i used a complete large tub to remove artex from a ceiling 4.2 x 3.8 M. On time i would say 4 x 12 hour days.

I have an awful lot of thick rough-patterned Artex which I have been fighting shy of removing for years. Used Eco Solutions X-Tex Textured Coatings Remover on a small alcove as a starter. Easy application, pleasant smell. Even left overnight, it was not very soft. Needed a second coat.
    This is going ...
