I live in the Los Angeles Area and have had Time Warner Cable, Satellite Service, and DSL. By far, the choice here is Time Warner. First, the Road Runner service is by far the best service I have had. I have had it now over a year, and have yet to have one problem. Out here, appointments can be made in a 2 hour time frame from time warner, and I have yet to have someone show up late. The speed by far outweighs any of the other online services tried, including the horrible satellite modem service, and DSL. The ISP has a very simple interface. Earthlink in my opinion does not even compare. I have had none of the experiences with bad customer service as had the other reviewer. Everyone I have spoken to has been very polite and helpful. My Digital Cable service has yet to fail me, and the reception has always been outstanding. They have not charged me once for when my dog chewed through my cable (3 times!!) nor charged me for adding an extra outlet. Coming in the next couple of weeks is Video on Demand, which will allow me to order a movie like a Pay Per View, but I get to keep it 24 hours, and it will work just like a video... being able to stop, rewind, play, pause, forward etc... Only $3.95 per movie. No more trips to the video store!! No more late fees! I can see alot of my money going on these! All in all my experience with Time Warner has been grand. Sorry about New York! Too bad we cannot get some of our customer service to move huh?
