Lovely looking car.
Plasticky creaking/cracking noises in the cabin. Windows seem to shift in the door frame making really irritating rattle noise.
When I first got my 2000 BMW 318is I was very happy. Then when the initial euphoria passed, I started to pay close attention to the interior build quality. Very disappointing. Plastic seemed to creak and crack whenever the car accelerated or changed direction or when I or passengers shift in the seats. Had the center console (trinket tray to you and me) replaced because it was sooo shody. Windows rattle in their frames (altho' the back ones are fine) and there is a horrid plastic "crack" noise heard from the rear of the car (possibly the rear seat column) when going over bumps or just randomly cracking every now and again...
318 simply not enough oomph. I suggest a 323 or higher. I'm aiming for a 330ci in the near future.
