    As good as the VW / Audi mechanicals are - it is let down by the fact it is spanish-built. Two turbos 1.8Lt and only 210Hp? 1.6Lt Civic Type R = 185hp / 1.8Lt Integra type R = 200hp / 2.0Lt S2000 = 240hp, ALL NON-TURBO's. Like-wise Mivec Cyborgs / Pulsar'S All make close to 200HP with-out turbo's, let alone Two & each would run rings around a Cupra!

  • CJ. on 24th Jul 2002

The Civic Type R is a 2.0 litre not a 1.6 litre. The Cupra R does not have 2 turbos.

    Its not 4x4 either

  • StevoWarby. on 25th Jul 2002

The Cupra R has a 1.8 liter 20 valve engine with one K04 turbo and twin intercoolers.

Can be easily chipped to 250 - 260bhp..

    (Same engine as Audi TT).

    Stevo.

This guy must be talking about another car because the Seat Cupra R is neither biturbo or 4x4 !!!

CJ, the previous generation of Civc Type R WAS a 1.6.

Civic Type R - are you sure? The Civic Type R only just came out - the first was the Integra then the Accord and now the Civic. Previous sporty Civics were the VTi and the CRX - but not the Type R. That came out in late 2001 as a 2.0-litre and as far as I'm aware was never a 1.6.

Yes there was a 1.6 Civic type R, although it wasn't sold on many countries around the world. Proof of that is Grand Turismo III on PS2 where this 1.6 type R is in.

Nissan sunny aka pulsar which is the import name has forced induction (turbo) someone needs to get their facts right here as all of the above information is incorrect

I am having trouble deciding whether to buy a civic type r, a leon cupra r, or a focus st170. Does anyone know the actual 0-60 and 0-100mph of these cars
