Good Points

Only got it today and I bought a multi-region enabled version as my collection includes Region 1 and Region2 plus RCE encoded disks. Tested several and they all work a charm. Great picture, sound through my prologic enabled TV much improved over my old DVD player. However, I normally turn the tv sound off as I play back through a dolby digital/DTS decoder (SONY).

Bad Points

May be specific to my TV (SONY) but when I select RGB output the screen is noticably dimmer. TV is seven years old and am hoping to replace with WEGA Widescreen

General Comments

Sony DVP-NS400D DVD Player: I had a similar audio problem but managed to cure it. In the setup for the DVD player it was set to AUTO to automatically detect and select the best sound track available. Unfortunately as the DVD started it detected and stuck in the Prologic mode, I guess this is down to the lower quality sound settings in the DVD disk's menu. I changed the setting from AUTO and the dolby digital signal now goes through to my SONY decoder/amp. Doesn't pick up DTS unless you explicitly select it on the DVD disk sound menu but that was the same with my old player.

Hope this helps
