Good Points

Good Looking, everytime i drive through the city, everyone is staring at my car-it's very remarkable. Also the interior decorating.

Great performance. good steering.

it's just great.

Bad Points

If u drive in the low gears (1st or 2nd) the car seems to be jumping forward and not smooth to drive. but if i drive at the high speed it's fine. the car seems to be very smooth (i think this car is made for the high-speed-driver).

The air-con is very poor in thailand (tropical area). Too slow to cool the passenger area down. and there's too much fog on the front glass.(this is very annoying me) i've fixed this at the Alfa Romeo but it's not all gone. They said they have to wait for Italy to confirm how to fix it.

the others things just very great.

General Comments

i've just bought an Alfa Romeo 156 2.0l T-Spark Selespeed 3 weeks ago and i love it very much. I have no plan to sell it now. I just love it. All i am worried about is its gearbox. There are many rumours about the gearbox.

I've also added up the accessory part from Alfa romeo. I've added High-boot spolier, front-spoiler, back-spoiler, side-skirts and the metal-gas-step inside. Very cool. i have some pictures. If u want, mail to me.

I am contemplating to buy a brand new 156 selespeed. In Singapore Alpha market is very small comparatively to Japanese/Koreans models. So spare parts & services are very costly here. I would like to find out from owners have reliable is the hydraulic gearbox. Does it fail frequently or need repairs & frequent maintenances.

Understand fm most feedbacks that the onboard computer for the gearbox are not very responsive under urban conditions. This is especially so in 1st/2nd gears during traffic jam. I believe same feedback will be hear fm Porches/Ferrari owners.

Hi. Can I see some photos of your 156? Also, do you still reckon that the 156 is a good car? I am thinking of buying one myself. You want to sell yours? Please respond back to me at the email address provided here. Or if you are thinking of selling your 156, please call at 02 636 1833 and ask for Khun Nattaporn (my secretary) and then ask to speak to me.

    Thank you kindly

So far most of the problems are on the gearboxes. Any maintainance cost or expensive parts issues?
