as if your 33 doesnt have any bad points?? what are your trying to sell 1. it handles like a boat compared with an r 32 with adjustable cusco suspension!! and it looks like a 2 door magna! yuk! and why would you have 2 tips? why dont you put some real mods on it? your way too inlove with yourself!!!!!!!!

  2. filleto. on 11th Nov 2002

This cj fool doesn't know what he's talkin about, the 33 is way better than the 32, and as far as the body, thats the best part, if you were a true skyline enthusiast, you would respect them all, man you need a roll model

  3. silvia man. on 4th Dec 2002

I think that the r 33 is awsome . The things you have done with it is a good idea ! This cj fool needs to know what he is talking about before he starts messing with real nissan people. Keep up the good work on the skyline

  4. Spanner. on 28th Dec 2002

You guys obviously havnt driven both side by side - my R32 SMOKES THE HEAVIER 33 HANDS DOWN!!

  5. nerdy. on 3rd Feb 2003

I am very immpressed with my 1996 200sx it's tight in corners with great powerslide abilities is great for overtaking as it accelerates from 70 to 130 without a care in the world - I was thinking about chipping & increasing boost to maybe 250bhp to 300bhp - Is this a worthwhile investment or is it worth just saving for a Skyline and being done with it? - Are all models of Skylines 4WD?

  6. R33 V-SPEC. on 27th Feb 2003

I think the R33 is an awesome car. I love all NISSANS i have respect for them all GTR r32 r33 180&200sx i've owned them before and they're all great vehicles. Of course one car will beat another car because everyone has their own mods they do. Some are better than others that's the way the ball rolls. So keep up the good work on R33 MAN THEY ARE AWESOME. And by the way (nerdy) the nissan gts-gtst r rwd but all the gtrs r 4wd except if they have converted it to rwd which a lot of people do. It is recommended to buy a gtr because they are an awesome car.

  7. road demon. on 13th May 2003

the r33 is one of the best cars ive come across even now after ive been in porsches and lambs it still feels like a brilliant car id say a real bargain and if you see one somewhere that is in good condition Email me on slushpuppy_32@hotmail.com

cj and that other dude from the US are full of it. Not only do I not believe them in saying that they have a skyline. but also, for having the gall to claim they have them in the usa. ive been trying to get one for the better part of a year, and I still dont have one. I cant get a hold of one, much less find a dealer who can help me import it. those kids need to get a life, man.

  9. Hybrid. on 20th May 2003

I believe u can get a gtr from Motorex. they can import it for u but it will take a long time. at least three to four weeks before it can reach the u.s. then it will take at least another couple of weeks before u can get it. it has to go through custom agents and checked if it can be driven on the streets by u.s. regulations

  10. leroy. on 14th Jun 2003

i am looking at getting a GTR r32 skyline but people around here tell me to get an R33 GTsT. which is better and why?

  11. Medow006. on 17th Jun 2003

Hi. This is not a review actually but please read this. I have been looking all over for a skyline. Can anyone help me out with where to find them in the US?

I would perfer, if you have an answer, to e-mail me at: anderson_bri@hotmail.com

    and make the subject "Skyline"

If you cant, leave a response here, please.

    Thanks to anyone who responds

Yes there are Skylines in America, but there are so few of them that it's hard to find an owner here. But for those who want a Skyline then the place to look to is MotorEx. They'll even legalize your car for 17-18,000. It's a good deal because those cars have too much illegal b/s. (Windows, exaust, ecu, etc.)

i recently encountered a R34 on the A406. I was doing about 70mph in my rx7 looked in my rear view mirror nothing behind me then looked again couple min later and a r34 grill right behind me. didnt want to be on tv's police stop or anything and i already have points on my license. so i let him pass he was weaving in and out of traffic like nothing and he must of been doing over a hundred.

R33's handle like a boat, huh, must be one hell of a boat. All skylines are great cars, and in thier own way each model is unique. My personal favorite is my current car,an R33 GTS rear wheel drive, with racing spec limited slip, and RB26DETT engine, modified ..of course. The ultimate, 250Kg's lighter than a GTR, easier to launch, drop clutch and steer in wreathes of tyre smoke, rather than the GTR method, hoping it doesn't bog, or break the drive train, or burn out the clutch. Also the lighter GTS is awesome on dry track days, fun too with controlable rear wheel throttle steering. But anyways all Skylines rule. Keep annihilating those damned Scoobies

Hey i'm from Australia... How ya goin mate...
I recently bought a R33 Skyline GTS non-turbo for $AU8000... yes i consider it a miracle and yes it has absolutely no major problems... i thought seeing as it's non-turbo it wouldn't move but on the contrary... it still hectic burnouts and power slides and the RB25 engine can easily handle the thrashings. it corners like a
fromula 1 car and easily outruns my mates turbo sylvia boosted to 150kw... i must say i cannot wait to put a turbo on it...

Hi guys, I am a kiwi from New Zealand. While not trying to rub salt into the wound Skylines are as commen here as there are drivers. But don't get me wrong I own a R32 GTS-t Skyline, and I tell you what it is so easy to work on and increase horse power. And the best bit, I brought my Skyline for around 10,000 NZD(5,000USD). SO if you guys want to see so great Skyline action come over some time and check it out.
Good the Croydons and Heat Treatments R34 GTR GODZILLERS The fastest 1/4 mile Skylines in 8.08 sec(Will have a look for my video taken in cabin during 1/4 mile and post address)

Hows it goin, sorry to bring it back up but some of these people dont know what they are on about. Having driven nearly all gtst, gts25t, gts4 and gtrs plus an R34 GTT not a GTR though, I would have to say that the R33 gtr would have to have the most potential, 100 times more than the R32, they have the most nicest feel to them out of any other car I have driven but straight up they are not quite as nimble as the R32 GTR but close to exactly the same, and that is only due to a howl 50 kilos extra wich you can nearly fix with some carbon fibre doors and wing, and with that done I can easily say it handles better than the R32 GTR even though it is not as light, plus you can burn of the pounds with a lightweight nismo driveshatft, and anyway the potential for the looks I cant even bother to get started on, they look tough as! and you dont want to convert them to rwd, the torqe splitter will still let you throw that back end out and plus it would ruin the take of, skylines r WICKED!!!!!! Oh and plus the R33 is faster than the R32 and has more torqe from any speed and that is that main thing.

    Hello all,

I might be able to bring some light to the GTR in the USA phenomenon. I bought a 1995 GTR R33 from Motorex last year. There are currently estimated to be about 100 gtr's in the U.S.(according to last month's Turbo magazine). Most of them are in California. I didn't have to wait long because they had one in stock. They often have them in stock, but if they don't it could take months before you recieve one. It was pretty easy to register in Georgia, and insurance was easy enough to get but expect to spend a tonne of money in a relative short amount of time. No one can purchase a stock GTR and leave it in that condition for very long. Before long you'll be putting thousands into turbo kits, exhaust, wheels, nitrous, etc. But it is all completely worth it. Driving it around is exciting at first, but becomes cumbersome after a while because everywhere you go you get stared at. Even older people stare at you because the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car. But like I said, everything is completely worth it. If you are interested in one, Motorex is the right place to go... ask for Vernon (he's the man). But please don't call them unless you are very serious... they get called everyday from people who are just curious. I might consider helping you myself but these message boards always seem to bring out some angry people.

    Hi
Where do some of you guys get your info\' I currently own an R32 GTR, my previous ride was a R33 GTST. While the R33 GTST was great it pales to insignificence when compared to the GTR. The R32 in stock form is the least powerfull of the GTR\'s but is also the lightest and fastest(fact). Sorry, but no STOCK GTST is going to see which way a STOCK GTR went. When it comes to modifying the GTR has MUCH more potential. The Rb26DETT can safely handle 600HP (with standard internals) which the RB25DET will not. The R32 GTR was built for Group A racing and in it\'s first year won 29 races from 29 starts.
I love Skylines in general, GTR\'s in particular, and for my money the R32 is a clasic, THE BEST!!!

  21. aussieute on 12th May 2004

Hi all im from australia and currently own a holden ute with 255kw standard. The ute I have goes very hard and quick its got a 5.7lt 350 chev in it and goes along doing an easy 260kmph off the clock. I heard that these "skylines" are super quick but cost heaps. I want to know whats the fastest and best gtr. Im looking at buying a r33 gtr, but you guys are tossing over the r32 gtr. Whats the best one and easiest to gain HP out of?What top speed can these skylines do? Is it better to import one from Japan or buy in Australia??

  22. rustic imposter on 8th Sep 2004

hey, i am from australia as well, the r32 is way better, no matter what those guys say. the fact is the r32 gtr is lighter and faster in 1/4 mile and 0-100 km/h. if you waste your time arguing over the looks of a car when it is all opinion than you have no idea about cars. obviously you are interested in performence than you can't go past the r32. don't waste your time listning to those people who put 2 exhaust tips on there gtst t33. anyway have a look at some pictures and decide what shape you like. they vary a fair bit

  23. testdroveandtorn on 13th Jul 2008

I am not a skyline owner unfortunately. Thing is there is one for sale in my city (in Canada)... the only one! I took it for a test drive, incredibly fun and addictive to drive (its a nissan skyline r32 GTS). I would be driving it already if it weren't for my family busting my balls about it. According to them I should sacrafice my ego to get a newer car that is more reliable and not let my man parts make these decisions. My thought is that no matter how much trouble it gives me its a sexy-looking 6 cyl turbo with a notoriously insane reputation for $6000, and its certainly worth the extra headache (and I mean the nagging). I just want to hear this from a skyline owner. Is it worth the extra nagging at home for the roar of the engine on the back streets? Is it worth maintaning (it can get tiresome) or is my family just ignorant to such an amazing machine?
