Review of Nokia 7110e

Good Points
Wonderful, bright back light and when the slider is down, it it is nice to hold. Well designed with it's shape and weight. Excellent key pad with nice soft rubber buttons when pressed. Excellent visible graphics on the screen.

Bad Points
The trigger button could have been redesigned to be round and made of rubber, to enable the cover to drop, and the slider did not allways drop to the bottom, as by mistake, I dropped my Orange 7110e phone, and the cover fell off, and after cleanig and reassembly, it drops and locks all right. Dispite the large screen, the graphics could have bee better, with more options to go to. The Navi Roller TM should have had a rubber coating and the ratchet mechanism should have bee softer, as only after cleaning, it became softer. Lastly the on / off button, this ahould have been larger as this as the trigger button might be better for the finger.

General Comments
The 7110 mobile phone is a one off design that Nokia should have updated on, rather than withdraw the phone after a year and a half. I wished that the drop down cover could have dropped down further, as when I press the * or + or the # buttons, my finger gets in the way of my finger, so in princible, the key pad should have been greater in depth.

The send and close the call buttons should have redesigned so making them more visable to press, leave them where they are, yet make the stand out. Although there was a Limited Editon phone, was this purple in colour?, I do not know why Nokia did not have developed design coloured varients or differant designs of the 7110?.

Summing up, in all, the 7110e has a lovely feel about itand the shape is very curvey, a nice weight, although I only use the phone for also text messaging, I wished that there was key board key code to further protect it, and I like the Oranage badge on the slider cover.
