General Comments

I bought this BSA Spitfire air gun when it first came out, the reason i bought it was because it was such a new idea and it's quite cheap compared to other pre-charged air rifles. But then again, i think pre-charged guns need to be well priced because you need to buy something to charge them with. The pumps and bottles are expensive too, but anyway, when i got it i thought they had sent me a BSA supersport because this gun uses the same design as BSA's break barrel spring guns. But all that ends as soon as you get inside the gun because it uses compressed air which makes it recoiless and more consistent power wise. It uses the same bottle that the bsa superten does. You just screw it underneath the gun and fill the air chamber up. There's even a little pressure gauge on the newest model of this gun. Power is full UK 12 ftlb limit and you will find, as with most other pre-charged airguns, that it barely ever dips in consistency. You get a load of shots from a full air chamber. I can't remember how many i last got because i didn't count but i did significantly reduce a 500 pellet tub of .22,s. Accuracy wise, it's excellent. Even though it's not fixed barrel it's great for target work (i use it for this more than hunting). The only thing that makes it a little bit worse than other pre-charged guns is that it's a 1 shot gun. Because it uses a break barrel design you load it like you do a normal break barrel except there is no effort in cocking the barrel and it only has to be opened slightly (not a full pull like a spring gun) but it's easy enough to do so not a major thing.

Final Thought, Good gun to get if you dont have the big bucks to buy other pre charged guns, suitable for hunting and target work, also easy to maintain.

Price £159.95 (gun only) Carbine version £179.95 (gun only)
Happy Shooting mates
Danny.

You can get around 70 shots on one fill on the high fill version, around 30 on the low fill version.

thanks. reviews been very helpful. thinking of trading in lighting. only 14 so recoiless would be big advantage while out shooting and can rest on solid surfaces.
