Good Points

30GB hard drive, 1200Mhz Athlon processor and CDRW/DVD combo are all incredible value for the price of this laptop. The 15" screen is excellent and product has reasonably good support from Sony.


Bad Points

Heavy and bulky so not the ideal choice for a regular traveller, but if it is going to be mostly at home/in office this is not a problem. Fairly poor battery life. No built-in infrared port.


General Comments

In general, the Sony FX505 is a great medium spec laptop -ideal for an occasional traveller or as a desktop replacement. If you are looking for something to travel with a lot then don't pick this model.
Good value, quality, spec, features and build but heavy.
