Good Points

Smooth i-Vtec 2.0 engine with ample oomph for most uses. High quality cabin and refinements (unlike old model). Plenty of space thanks to revolutionary seating system and lack of transmission trunk. Overall its a superb mid-sized off-roader.

Bad Points

Fuel economy is slightly less than I would have expected.

General Comments

Having just purchased a new model (2002)Honda CR-v se Sport auto I am well impressed. My girlfriend and I need the space for dogs and so on and we looked at every car in this class from the over-priced Freelander to the downright ugly Santa-fe. The engine is smooth and the power delivery from the new i-vtec engine is superb and surprisingly spritely.
We have the top of the range with sat-nav and leather but the normal or base model drives just as well. Having covered about 7K miles, (11k km) we are well pleased.
Another bullet-proof buy from Honda and as an Accord owner, I am well pleased.

Mine is 2001 CRV sport. I could not find the door open warning indicator. Do you have one?
