Was persuaded to take a card in October last year. I'd had one about a year ago but closed it because they'd charged me a late payment fee when I'd actually set up a direct debit that should have transferred the money. Lo and behold they did exactly the same again with this card. Rang up Santander customer service which is a call centre abroad and who I (honestly) could hardly understand. Spent about 10 infuriating minutes on the phone which ended with me closing the account. Never again.
