DON'T BUY IT! I've now had two Samsonite cases which have cracked open during travel. Both were under 3 years old. Samsonite don't want to know about complaints. They just blame the airline and refer you back to them. I've travelled extensively and never experienced this with any other luggage brand. Their website is really unhelpful and theier customer servie non-existent - just about the worst service I've ever come across for an international brand. Remember those adverts where they dropped a suitcase from a great height and it was undamaged? No wonder they don't use them any more.

I have had a similar problem with the new Samsonite Cosmolite range. After the second flight one suitcase had a small puncture which was not noticed at the airport.
These suitcases supposedly resist hammer blows.
Samsonite say it is not repairable and they will not replace the virtually new suitcase costing in excess of £300.
E mails and letters get no response, even from their Registered Office.
I would not recommend anyone to but Samsonite Cosmolite luggage
