I bought cappucino and cake at the Croydon branch on 9 May. The service was excellent but the coffee was bitter and strong and I had to leave most of it. What a waste of money. I was later told by a friend that the customner has to ask for just one shot of coffee instead of two. How is one to know in advance that the coffee is to be so strong? I have been to Italy many times and have never encountered a capuccino this strong. It would be nice if the staff were to ask the customer if they want it strong or not.
