Shearings Holidays Review

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY. I was due to go on a 3 night break tied in with a family visit due to depart on Friday 15th April 2011. Shearings left a message on my phone on Tuesday 12th April 2011 stating "this is a call to confirm...er....a call about your holiday" (exact words) "Please can you call **** on (tel no.)". I phoned and was informed nonchalantly and breezily that they hadn't got the numbers they were expecting and so were withdrawing the holiday, that they had tried to boost numbers but had had no luck. I was speechless. Not even 3 full days notice!!!!!! Buyer beware. Do not trust them for anything important. This was NOT a LAST MINUTE holiday booking. It was a terrible shock and very upsetting for my family and me. Shearings couldn't care less. Disgraceful. DO NOT RELY ON THEM. Breaching a contract means NOTHING to them. Buyer Beware.
