This was our second trip on the island escape. Yes the ship is in need of a refit and is more than a little dated but we still had a better holiday than we would of at a hotel somewhere.
We were on deck 3 and apart from some engine noise and some buzzing we found it lovely, you don't get any rocking at all. Yes the cabins are small but as it was only used for sleeping in I can't fault it al all.
The staff were very friendly alsways saying hello each time they passed you and asking if you were ok if you looked lost.
Their is a good choice of food an mostly done gluten free. You can go as many times as you like to get food and by the time you come back your dirty plate has gone.
Really the only people who let it down was the passengers who were rude to the crew and did nothing but complain and compair the ship to other bigger more expensive ships.
The biggest downside for us was the ports of call. The two stops in Morrocco were the down side to the trips, we didn't spend much time off the ship as we were left scared by the ammount of people trying to offer you trips and goods to buy. You can buy goods in euros or sterling but they will give you change in their own currency but will not accept it back when you try to pay for something and you can't change it back when you leave.
Theday trips are also over priced for the length of time you are on them and don't tell you how much walking you will be doing, we went on trip that said it was mod walking but it was very active and most people found it hard to keep up with the group.
The drinks are expensve and you will always need to ask before ordering a pint for it to be filled to the top or you will get it a good inch from the top and if ordering virgin cocktails remember to say virgin or it will come in the alocholic version.
