Though more expensive than some of the other brands they are built to last for many years. Unit is sealed so can be easily rinsed out under a tap. Have used for pastry, sponges, egg whites, tartare sauce, liquidizing ingredients for a soup, you name it.... Very comprehensivre cook book/ manual supplied, this is as much a food processing unit as well as a hand blender with the three blades supplied. Research the web for who has the best deal and go for it, if you enjoy cooking this is a godsend that's ready to use quickly.
