I bought the Nair in Shower Hair Removal Cream around 7-8 months ago and used several times with no problem other than it didn't seem to remove all the hairs on my legs (which are very fine and blonde). It always left my legs feeling like two day growth (i.e. slight stubble). I decided to use it up and sat down yesterday to apply. Left it on for 5 minutes (6 mins is the maximum). Didn't feel any irritation whilst it was on and rinsed off under the shower. Within a few minutes I had a nasty reaction on my knees only, a red rash and swelling like hives. I immediately ran more cool water on my legs and took an antimistamine. It went down a little after an hour but is still now today very sore and I have some swelling.
My advice? Stick to razors. Shaving only takes 3 minutes in the shower and my legs are smooth and no stubble. If you want to use hair removal cream I would do a patch test each time you want to use it. For me, I won't be using any hair removal creams again.
