Dudley Zoo & Castle Review

As an employee of Dudley zoo i am shocked at all of the horrible reviews of the park. Many people seem to be very uneducated in the park itself! , unlike west midland safari park and Twycross, Dudley zoo is a CHARITY. we do not recieve any government funding what so ever so people saying " the place looks "shabby" that is because all of our money goes on the hundreds of animals that we house.The only money we recieve is from the public.

And as for this RIDICULOUS claim that the animals looks depressed. Did you expect to see them with an ear to ear grin? im sure they wouldnt look to happy being in there natural habitat and being shot by poachers.Dudley zoo is not there for the public eye , it is there to work on the conservation of the animals, not to perform for the guests. I did read one review expressing there dis-like to a member of staff when asking to see one of the baby animals. Unfortunatly the new borns are not alowed to be on public display until an announcement is made that they are well enough and confident enough to face people. I am very sorry if the memeber of staff offended you in any way but please dont let that dampen you view of the park. I am very proud to be apart of the Dudley zoo team and will continue to defend the zoo in every way because it may not be the best looking zoo but the work we do for thoses animals is second to none.
