I'd never tried McDougalls pies until today when i bought a Deep Filled Steak Pie for the family tea. Never again, whatever the gristly lumps of grey meat was, it certainly wasn't beef, i shudder to think what fell creature surrendered it's life to provide the gristle for this sad offering. I doubt the creature even had the mercy of a humane killing and i suspect it's being kicked to death by a group of navvies found outside the factory gates contributed to it's toughness.
