General Comments

I had an Stealth2000 air rifle as my first gun and bought it as a non FAC gun. Out of the box it was 18ft/lb so I sent it back. They said they'd fixed it but then it was 22ft/lb and was inconsistant and also leaked and accuracy was poor for a PCP. It was sent back numerous amounts of time and again wasn't sorted out.
I have tried various different Stealths and none of them actually shoot straight

I agree with every thing written in this review except the statement about the accuracy which I feel is good enough considering the relatively low price. Gunpower have a poor reputation within the trade with some dealers refusing to stock them due to their poor customer support and quality. Whilst many people are happy with their stealths (just check the other reviews)Quality can be varible with a few friday afternoon jobs out there. The stealth is a great concept with poor quality control and lousy factory backup.... They really could do so much better! To sum up I agree with the rating and give it a 1 out of 10.

I also own a stealth .22 cal BUT I stand in it's defence somewhat more that the recent posts. I would give it 7 out of 10. I agree the consistancy isn't too good but I can take rabbits out at 50 yards no problem accuracy wise. I can acheive 1.5" groups @45 yards to 50 no trouble. As said the concept is good although it has been round for a while (the concept that is not the gun). There HAVE been a LOT of instances where they are over powered from the box BUT any decent gunsmith should check the power of the guns they sell anyway should they not? How would a car salesman get away selling a ferrari with a mini engin in it? He wouldnt!! My point exactly. They should all be checked prior to being sold. There IS a lot of room for improvement on these guns but on the whole I would say it is 80% there as is and just a bit of fine tuning to do. Perhaps in the future they will manage to iron out the bad bits and then there will be one hell of a rifle on the market.
