The Lifesource product is simply a big carbon filter. If you want clean tasting water for drinking and bathing this system works well.



However this system does nothing. Absolutely nothing to soften water. I tested the water in detail myself. The dissolved minerals in my municipal hard water is high and the lifesource does not change this at all.



I still like the system for what it does but the company misleads consumers by saying this is a solution for hard water and I fault them for that.
