General Comments

I bought this Panasonic RV31 DVD player around 6 months ago to play DVDs and VCDs.

First one stopped playing VCD after 4 days. DVDs were working. Showed it to Panasonic, they gave me a new piece.
After 6 months this one went bad. Could not play anything - DVD, VCD, CD or MP3. Kept getting the error code H02 all the time on the display.
It was repaired in 1 week by Panasonic.
After using it for 2 hrs. am getting the same error and plays nothing. Need to send it back yet again. I Am just sick of it and want to just get rid of it.
Never buy this product. Panasonic quality control sucks.

    Thank you for spreading the word on this piece of junk. I had a similar experience. Check Amazon.com's reviews, and do not buy this DVD player!

    Thank you for writing that! I have the same problem at home and now my DVD player will not play any DVDs whatsoever due to the message H02! I have not had mine for a year!

    I've had my RV31 for 19 months now with no problems whatsoever. Probably several hundred hours of use, still plays everything, no error messages.

    Battling anecdotal evidence! Ain't it great?

    Same problem. H02 hit mine a little after a year. I hardly ever played my DVD player which makes me even more upset.

    Cela fait environs 1 an que notre DVD fut chager pour un autre. Même le modèle actuel nous fait défault. Je trouve qu'il répète leurs erreurs de modèle en modèle et c'est nous les clients qui payons pour leurs erreurs. Le prochain sera d'une autre marque!

    Same h02 error happened to me in Brazil.
    (Model is dvd-rv31br)...
    What about customer rights? Isn't this the
    case of a return? Or shouldn't Panasonic
    change with a newer model?

    Same H02 error code. I have had the dvd for over a year and have played maybe 8 dvd's on it. This is ridiculous.
