Not long returned from 3 night cruise on the independence of the seas. This was our first time, which is why we only did a short one. We loved it so much we wished we'd gone on to Ireland where the ship was going next. The ship was spotlessly clean and because there had been an outbreak of the norovirus a few weeks previous, hand washing was paramount, with the staff at the entrance to the dining rooms with wipes. There were even people saying they had just washed their hands! Food was absolutely wonderful catering for every taste. we didn't realise that the shops were closed while the ship was in port, and when they were open, there was a mad rush being served by very slow staff! Perhaps the drinks were a little more expensive but we were on holiday after all. The staff were always impeccably dressed, and very willing to please. There was a kettle and tea bags etc. in the cabin and shampoo on the wall in the shower. Huge ship and we still got lost on the last day - had to ask the grandchildren who were staying in another cabin! Would we go again? yes we would go next week, but can't afford it till we do a meditteranean cruise next year. Hope this helps.

I found this review very helpful because..there are so many negative reviews of this ship.
