Great Device - clear - hey, it's from Apple.


Bad Points

Don't bother if you have Windows... I'll tell you why.


General Comments

Love the Apple iPod portable MP3 player. But my Apple rep told me that those using Windows can download from Mediafour after installing a firewire port. Mediafour has a Beta version of their software that crashed my system so hard that I had to reformat my system. Yes, Apple is way ahead of the pack for the next six months. By the time media four perfects thier software, Sony and others will be up to speed. Wait until Mediafour perfects their software, or others catch up.

    Great review - however it's now past it's sell by date... PC USERS REJOICE! Apple now have updated their iPod for use with Windows and the PC - once you've put in a firewire card that is...

    True. Windows version now works flawless. Although more expensive, it blows away RIO with it's compact design and ability to hold 4000 songs.

    Being a Windows user - I waited until iTunes was released for Windows - and WOW!

    Big fan now!
    Raced out and bought myself the new G3 40GB iPOD - and am in love!
    5000 odd songs so far + 300 contacts and my claendar (both from Outlook) and VOILA!

    Great looks, great sound quality, very stylish packaging and design!
    NO moving parts so it is small sleek and apparently very reliable!

    New FM tuner accessory on order so it comes with me in the car + as soon as those new sexy looking travelling speakers / charging dock arrive I might have to buy them as well for when I travel and also to use in my office!

    I'm now a big fan.
