This company is by far the worst I have ever dealt with... Hands down. My husband and I are frequent travelers who often rent cars to view new areas. This was our first experience using Dollar Rent A Car, and we will never do it again.
We booked a convertible online through Dollar, and the day of pick up we called to confirm our rental and pick up location through the central booking line, who confirmed that our car was ready and waiting for us at Circus Circus. We took a taxi there to pick up the car, only to find out 30 minutes later that it was actually delivered to Luxor. But, again, it was confirmed to us that, yea, no question, our car was at Luxor waiting for us. Oops, delivered to the wrong spot. The clerks response was to shuttle us from one resort to the other to pick up our car. A shuttle that should have been there in "3 minutes" according tom the rep, was there 45 minutes later.
Once finally arriving at Luxor, we waited in line for over an hour only to find out that, OOOPS AGAIN, the car was over booked and there were actually none available anywhere in Las Vegas.
I can understand if we were "wait listed" and if that was the case, would have appreciated being told as such. Instead, however, I was lied to by a CSR in the call centre being told that the. car was definitely at Circus Circus waiting, lied to by a rep at Circus Circus telling me that, oh yes, my car is 100% waiting for me at Luxor, only to find out that, in fact, no one in
this company has any idea what they are talking about.
I'm incredibly frustrated and disappointed, and management is zero help. Somehow, it's my fault that this happened.
What a joke. I will never deal with these people again. It's such a poorly run company, and customer service is odviously a concept that they have never heard of.
