“Have insured with NFU Mutual in the Scottish Borders...”

Have insured with NFU Mutual in the Scottish Borders for over 20 years. Household buildings, contents & personal possessions policy is excellent and extremely competitive. HOWEVER, our 2 cars - 5 door hatch and 7 seater mpv have rocketed this year. Insured & Spouse only; Pro NCD: £250 vol excess - 2010 premium was £434. 2011 premium £592. Both in our early 40s. I am loathe to change as it is a face to face company; local phone number; no call centres but such a jump is a right kick in the teeth for reliable drivers. Have received comparable quotes which are cheaper than NFU, but I won't get the same personal service. I will show the quotes to the NFU and see if they show any loyalty to me - as I have been loyal to them for 20+ years. Wish me luck!!
