Eckman Long-Reach Electric Telescopic Hedge Trimmer Review

WILL I EVER LEARN TO READ REVIEWS BEFORE I BUY??!! Bought my extendable hedge trimmer from T_2 on eBay to reach the leylandii hedge where my crappy rechargeable trimmers can't reach. I'm female, but very strong and fit and I can't lift or control it once the extension pole is attached.



Also, because of the circles on the end of the teeth, the width of twig that fits into the mouth for cutting is tiny. It will easily cut branches 5mm wide, but the second you reach something (even soft stuff) 6mm wide, it jams and tangles and I was left with the unit hanging 2 meters in the air fighting to get it down without spearing myself in the head.



Also, how on earth do you adjust the angle with just 2 hands....press in the side buttons and then push the unit down? I found myself using my chin and one hand to hold the buttons in, then my other hand to angle the head. Then it occurred to me I'm having to put my face on a piece of cutting equipment!! It's gone back in the garage now. It can stay there!
