Bank Farm is an excellent riding school to learn; from the basics to advanced. The teaching there is to a high standard working on different areas of horse riding, that being either your postion or making your horse/pony look better. They try to do some jumping every other week encouraging riders to do better everytime and giving them confidence!

They have a huge range of horses and ponies to match the riders ability. They may give you a horse that is different to what you usually ride but only do that if they know you would be able to manage the horse/pony and to prove that it's good to ride a variety of horses/ponies. They would never put you on a horse/pony that they knew you wouldn't be able to handle or that is completely out of your comfort zone! Another good point is that they seem to know every customer! Always encouraging, it's so lovely.

The horses/ponies are well fed and watered and NEVER over worked. They are in the best condition a riding horse/pony can get. However, they are not brushed often enough and usually very dusty and dirty. Indeed I do understand that it would be very time consuming to wash all their stock.

The staff and helpers there are extremely friendly and approachable; always offering comfort and advice.

The group lessons are very crowed, which is a shame but does show how popular they are and what great value of money they are!

The private lessons are fantastic, as any one-to-one would be! Improving on everything!

Walkouts are a very enjoyable ride down middlewood way for half an hour or an hour. The same for hacks - down middlewood way for an hour or half an hour. I would strongly recomend you doing a walkout before to try out a lesson.

They offer parties there, which are extremly popular. Either doing a walkout, a lesson or doing games! Games for usuually for a group of children who have ridden before and happy to do some active trotting.

They also offer stables and livery.
