Nationwide are a very professional organisation but hire staff that are very friendly too. Leasing a car will be a potentially exciting time for individuals and therefore dealing with a real person makes the experience more positive.
My experience was that there could have been slightly more proactive communication about the status of the deal. However whenever I asked for an update I got one very quickly.
One thing I'd advise is that you remove new customers from the new offers email - I don't need to hear about new car offers when I've already signed up for a new car!
