“I'm shocked with some of these comments on here as I...”

I'm shocked with some of these comments on here as I read them after booking the holiday and nearly opted out. We arrived slightly worried about what we would be faced with and it was fine. Rooms very basic but clean,(we stayed in Prestatyn in a classic apartment) so maybe we got lucky, I don't know. The tv's are small, but as we weren't going there to sit and watch tv it wasn't that much of a problem. Staff really friendly and plenty to do. We originally we weren't planning on staying on site much but due to the British weather we did stay at the park a fair bit and found plenty to do (even if some bits were slightly cheesy!). Would warn you that the beginning of April is still classed as out of season in Prestatyn and only found out when we got there that not a lot is open, like the funfair.

The only big downside for us was the weather, but thats what you expect on an British holiday! Rained quite a bit and only bit of sun was on the last day! But Pontins did provide enough entertainment for our 4 year old. But for a cheap and cheerful short holiday with the kids I would reccomend this place, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. I'd also recommmend taking bedding even if the apartment provides it, (we used their bedding to put on the mattress to make it more comfortable). Oh and also we used quite a lot of heating in the apartment, all morning and all evening and used £10's worth of electric for 5 days. Also hiring towels is a lot easier then taking your own and trying to dry them, you can replace them daily and it costs £5. (we found this out late into the holiday after suffering damp towels!).
