This is a wonderful phone. The most obvious plus with the S40 is the design and appearance. The blue backlight catches eyes very easily. In addition, the ability to record memos and conversations is awesome. I have had several phones in the past, and this one is by far the best phone I have owned.
Bad Points
Because I have had a long history with Nokia and Motorola phones, the interface and menus of this Siemens phone took a little while to get used to. Once I mastered the features and menus (after about 30 minutes), I became quite pleased with it. The only disadvantage is a slightly more quiet volume and less firm buttons. Also, this phone does not offer any games (but I personally don't care bc people look dorky playing games on their cells anyway). I've read that some people have problems with reception (dropped calls and such) but that has more to do with the provider than with the equipment.
General Comments
The siemens s40 is an awesome mobile phone! Looks good and is easy to use. German technology and design is great, so how can you doubt it?
