I would recommend this show to viewers purely for the fact of the entertainment, of what we see on-screen anyway. After reading an article of someone's life which was ruined due to the lie detector test after being beaten up by her anger-fuelled boyfriend because she was too scared to admit to a kiss while they were on a long-term break. This was caused by the showed complete disobedience and uncaring attitude after the shows participants left after having 5 minutes back-stage after the show told to go home, then a one hour counselling session which they got because the female called up asking for help. They were promised another session, but, but expected they were threw to one side and forgotten about. This is typical of the show as they are not interested in the life's they affect or even ruin beyond repair. I admit myself that the show is entertaining to watch in some cases but after taking an interest into what happens to the participants after the show is horrific. The man who beat his girlfriend up is now behind bars and I believe the show fuelled his anger and his suspicion then, with their complete inconsiderate attitude, threw them to one side and let the female living in danger to an extent she feared her life and felt there was no escape. The show would be a fantastic talk show if they just gave a SH*T about the lives they completely wreck.

The only person responsible was the perpertrator himself. He chose to go on the show and chose to react as he did. No defending the betrayal by his girlfriend but his violent behaviour was his choice. There could possibly have been violent history to explain her reluctance to reveal her wrong doing. I agree, help should be given to help women (and men) to escape from violent partners, whether the Jeremy Kyle team is equipped for that I don't know but there are other options they could have connected her to.
The whole point of this show I feel is to try to reach out and educate people into taking personal responsibility, for themselves, for their children, for familes and the effects of their choices. So Jeremy talks in a stern manner at times, this may be what has been missing in these people's lives before, hence why they are in the mess they are in and need the show to help out. Morals and family values are under enormous strain and any means of highlighting 'wrong' ways to conduct your life has to be a positive. I'm sure those who feel strongly against him can probably compare themselves to some of the guest types!
My biggest pet peeve, DNA tests. Why on earth do women allow themselves to get into the situation that they do not know who the father of their baby is? And all too often its not a choice of either or but 3, 4 or more. What will become of the generation of children who's paternity was determined through DNA test of a TV show?
Yes, this show highlights some of the very worst of our society but we cannot ignore them, hide them aware or write them off, we need to make sure we make an example of, and learn from them. People need re-educating on values, beliefs, morals and respect. Our society is saturated by broken families, weekend dads, unsociable behaviour and lazy benefit recipients. We MUST not allow this to take over and ruin our country.

If people need help they could possibly go to: their family, their friends, the doctor, a counsellor, the church, social services, the police, CAB, a solicitor - to name a few. Why on earth would anyone want to go on this freak show! Jeremy Kyle is a total fake: read his profile on wikipedia. If he spoke to anyone like that outside of the show they would beat him up!
