I hope it is not a sign of things to come. Just picked up a leaflet in my vets surgery in March and read £18 for dogs "one price irrespective of breed". Went on line to take out policy with annual payment and could not figure out how 12 x £18 could ever become £336! Then I realised that despite the brochure currently being readily available at my vet's surgery it is really £28 for my dog. Be aware of such duplicity if you are insuring an older dog as it seems they will not be averse to changing fundamentals at policy renewal - by which time your ability to change insurer has probably gone.

It can cost more for certain breeds (see list below). Advertisers will normally highlight the best rate - which may not apply for your dog. Make sure you read the small print & faqs etc to get the full picture.
