I first signed up to fasthosts in 2004 and at that time they were a professional and helpful company with a fair pricing policy. I was so impressed with them as a company I referred quite a few of people their way.



Over the years though they have started to charge more money and offer less service which to me seems to have dwindled significantly.



As mentioned in another reviews, the major incident fasthosts had a few years back where users were getting completely locked out of their accounts for up to 2-3 weeks because of an in-house security breach, was for me was inexcusable and was when it all started to go wrong.



Their technical support, which sadly I have had to use of late is nothing more than an utter time waste and driver for complete frustration.They have no contact number for customer services, so should you want to complain you have to raise a support ticket and hope for standardised response.



Frustration and time wasting is all I have had from fasthosts in recent times. Silly technical support issues concerning FTP and basic wordpress installs have seemed to baffle and confuse their technical support teams, who take 48 hours to resolve issues and who really only recite the standard customer replies that have been written down for them.



I don't think the 1 star reviews as stated by some of the other posts are unfair. I think it is more a reflection of a company that has completely forgotten about the service it was originally setup to provide. The fasthost website may look profession but behind the scenes is a somewhat different story.



I will regretfully not be continuing with them from now on.
